Rising Stars is an annual provincial event intended to recognize knowledge industry workers, in companies or organizations throughout New Brunswick, who have distinguished themselves from their peers by the quality of their work and their positive impact in their community and the industry. Junior Stars, a well received addition to the program, recognizes High School students who have demonstrated abilities and interests in ICT.

In addition to being recognized for their work, Rising Stars and Junior Stars are enrolled in a Mentorship program for the year—the objective of which is to expose them to leaders and resources in our communities. Helping them on the road to becoming our future leaders in New Brunswick.

Rising Stars carries out its provincial mandate on a relatively small budget and cannot run without the help of loyal sponsors.The program is fortunate to have great support year over year from the NBICT community and NB government. Maintaining a quality relationship with sponsors is key to the program’s future growth and success.

The committee is also grateful for the contributions made over the years to sponsors and hosts of mentoring luncheons and events. We are especially indebted to those volunteers who have spoken at events, judged the finalists, mentored the Rising Star recipients, and participated in the delivery of the program in various capacities.

Get involved with the Rising Stars program to play an integral part in retaining and attracting qualified ICT professionals, in exposing youth to a career in the knowledge industry and in promoting New Brunswick’s vibrant ICT industry.

Rising Stars is much more than an award gala… it’s a year long mentorship program, it’s networking with accomplished and emerging ICT leaders, it’s forming innovative partnerships, it’s professional development.
