Mark Garnett - Simonds High School, Saint John
Mark has a keen interest in technology, specifically in digital film editing. His ability is impressive and his interest is inspiring to teachers and students around him. He demonstrated his Star Power during a “critical thinking” project last year where students produced short films (similar to the North American House Hippo). Mark easily pieced together and edited many short clips into smooth videos with voice and audio. It was very impressive that he had those computer skills at such a young age and without formal training.
Mark should be recognized as a Rising Star because with his exceptional ability we will see his work in the future.
